The promise
A guard who goes through your cupboards is not a guard.
Scammers win by getting access. So an app built to fight them cannot begin by asking for all of yours. This page is the complete list, and it matches our Play Store data disclosure word for word.
Never collected
Six things Pehra never takes.
Your messages
What you check is analysed on the phone and then gone. It is not uploaded, not logged, not read by a human, and not used to train anything.
Your contacts and call log
We never ask for the permission. Instant-loan frauds harvest contact lists to shame borrowers; we will not hold the thing that makes that possible.
Your location
No GPS permission at all. Area warnings work from the pincode you typed, and we store only its first three digits.
Your documents and photos
A screenshot you check is read in memory and discarded. We never ask for gallery or file access.
Any detail of a fraud you suffered
The voice recording, the amounts, the letters we draft — all of it stays on your phone, behind your fingerprint. We cannot read it even if we are asked to.
Your name beside a check
Checks travel under a random code that is never stored next to your registration. We can count that a KYC scam was seen in a region. We cannot tell who saw it.
What we do ask for
Four things, and why each one exists.
Your name
So the letters Pehra drafts for you are addressed correctly, and so a family member can be recognised in your cover.
Your mobile number
To verify the registration is a real person and to send area fraud warnings. Never used for promotions. Any offer we ever make goes only to the person who paid for cover, never to the family members they added.
Your pincode
Two jobs: naming your district cyber police station on a complaint, and telling you when a fraud is spreading nearby. We keep the first three digits only.
An email address, only for family cover
For the receipt and for managing the people you have added. Free users are never asked.
Leaving
Out in two taps, and gone from our side too.
An app that is hard to leave has told you what it thinks of you. Deleting the app removes everything held on the phone. To erase what sits on our side as well, you do not need to reinstall anything — there is a form on the web, and we are required to give you one.
